Am I the only person who thought the REAL GHOSTBUSTERS Boogieman looked a hell of a lot like a pants-less, neutered, Spock-eared Daniel Ash from Love & Rockets/Bauhaus?

When one establishes a Ghostbusters franchise in Japan, does one utilize the standard iconography, or the iconography from that one Real Ghostbusters episode in the last season where they came to Tokyo?
